"This is ANOTHER fine mess you've gotten me into!"

An article in the New Republic makes the case that John
Kerry alienated his fellow Democrats by pushing for a
filibuster. No doubt his base is happy, but exactly how happy
were they before? There was a Hill article in the past few days
about Kerry's lack of fundraising among Hill staffers and key
insider Democrats since 2004.

His next financial report will be interesting, n'est pas?

Knowing that Kennedy is one of the top bananas on the
"Obstruction Project" -- the effort to stop Bush judges
cold -- it is hard to know who is pushing who in the Kerry-
Kennedy relationship.

Is it Kennedy picking up the phone trying to convince
his seatmate from Massachusetts to pull this bone-headed
maneuver instead of taking another snowboarding run in
Davos or is it Kerry acting on his own and Kennedy suffering
from Kerry's tone-deaf political efforts?

One has to wonder....who is Laurel and who is Hardy in this
dynamic duo from Beantown? Which one says to the other,
"This is ANOTHER fine mess you've gotten me into!"
